🚨 Who’s That Behind the Bar? 🚨
Meet Amber, our newest FSBC Team Member!
She is joining the Four Saints Brewing Taproom Team, and is ready to serve Great Beer for Great People! She brings extensive hospitality and bartending experience, a community-focused mindset, and a fun, bright personality.
A little info about Amber:
1. The number one thing she notices about taprooms is the atmosphere - good music, friendly staff, bright and happy vibes.
2. While she never considered herself an IPA drinker, her FSBC go-to is flowers & fog IPA.
3. Other than FSBC and The Pharmacy (😅), her Asheboro recommendation to people new to the area is The Table for their beautiful interior and great patio.
4. According to her, anything 90s Country belongs on the taproom playlist, specifically “Straight Tequila Night.”
5. She’s a graduate of the RCC Commercial Photography program, has a background in emergency services, AND her first job was being a Chainsaw Girl on a haunted trail. 👻

Our Stone of Strength Scottish 80/- Ale (also known as a Scottish Export Ale) is back on tap—for the first time in seven years. 🏰
Originally called Clachneart (Scottish for “stone of strength”), this beer got a name change after we realized folks had a tough time saying it—but the strength and spirit behind it never left.
The “80/-” (read as eighty shilling) harks back to an old Scottish system for classifying beer by strength and price per barrel. Today, it means a malt-forward ale in the 4–5.5% range (ours is 4.6)—smooth, rich, and balanced. Expect caramel, toffee, and toasted grain flavors with low hop bitterness and a deep amber color.
We’re serving this one on nitro for a creamy pour and velvety mouthfeel, similar. It’s a nod to Scottish brewing tradition with a Four Saints touch—strong, steady, and worth the wait.

Today is bittersweet at Four Saints. 💔 After nearly three years behind the bar, we raise a glass to our friend, teacher, and resident Four Saints historian - Burton.
If you’ve ever had a pint poured by him, you know his kindness, his passion, and his uncanny memory for every beer, event, and moment that’s shaped this place. Burton isn’t just part of our story, he is part of who we are.
We’ll still see him on Wednesday nights, but today marks his last official shift behind the bar. If you can, come by, share a beer, and say thank you. 🍻
