Family-Friendly Taproom Policy
Families are welcome at Four Saints
Great Beer for Great People includes families. We want children, adults, regulars, and first-time guests to feel welcome here.
Four Saints is also a working brewery and a shared gathering space. Glassware, staff carrying drinks, equipment, and other guests make active supervision essential.
Families are welcome. Grown-ups are responsible. Kids stay with their grown-ups.
Who may visit
Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult age 21 or older throughout their visit.
Children are welcome during regular taproom hours unless an event or area is specifically identified as 21+.
What active supervision means
- Children must remain seated with their party or within their supervising adult’s immediate reach.
- Children may not be left unattended or allowed to roam between tables, guest areas, or outdoor spaces.
- The supervising adult is responsible for the child’s location, safety, and behavior throughout the visit.
- Our staff cannot provide childcare or supervise children while adults order, socialize, or move to another area.
Respect the whole room
Everyone deserves to enjoy their time at Four Saints.
Behavior that creates a safety risk, interferes with service, damages property, or repeatedly or excessively disrupts other guests is not allowed. This standard applies to adults and children, including behavior not specifically listed below.
Please follow these expectations:
- Keep noise considerate. No repeated screaming, shrieking, excessive shouting, disruptive banging, or personal device audio loud enough to disturb nearby guests.
- Keep movement safe. No running, roaming, climbing, rough play, throwing objects, or riding wheeled toys.
- Keep paths clear. Do not block the bar, service paths, entrances, exits, hallways, or restroom access.
- Stay out of restricted areas. Production, storage, offices, behind the bar, and other staff-only areas are off limits.
- Respect other guests. No harassment, intimidation, unwanted physical contact, taking others’ belongings, or interfering with another party’s games or activities.
- Use our space as intended. Furniture, games, décor, and equipment must be used appropriately. Restrooms are not play areas.
Conversation, laughter, and occasional cheering are part of taproom life. A brief cry or isolated loud moment is different from ongoing disruption. Staff consider the behavior’s intensity, duration, frequency, and effect on the room when deciding whether to intervene.
When a child needs a break
If a child becomes upset, overwhelmed, or unable to participate without ongoing disruption, please stay with them and take a supervised break outside if needed.
You may return when the disruption has settled and these expectations can be followed. The same standards apply in our outdoor guest areas.
A break can resolve a concern. It does not restart the reminder process during the same visit.
Adult responsibility
The accompanying adult is responsible for the child’s conduct and for damage caused by misuse of Four Saints property.
Please respond promptly when staff ask you to address a concern. Our team may intervene when they observe unsafe or disruptive behavior. Another guest does not need to complain before staff can act.
If someone in your party needs an accommodation, please speak with our staff. We will work with you on reasonable adjustments that support access and safe use of our shared space.
Alcohol
Alcohol is for guests age 21 and older only.
Alcohol may not be purchased for, given to, shared with, possessed by, or consumed by anyone under 21.
How we enforce the policy
One clear reminder.
For an ordinary supervision or behavior concern, staff will speak with the responsible adult, explain what needs to change, and ask for a prompt correction.
Continued disruption means departure.
If the behavior continues, supervision is not restored, or unsafe or disruptive behavior requires another intervention during the visit, the entire party will be asked to close out and leave.
The reminder applies for the remainder of that visit. Moving to another area or taking a break does not provide a new warning.
Serious safety issues may require immediate departure.
Dangerous, aggressive, destructive, or unlawful behavior may result in immediate departure without a prior reminder.
Our staff and manager on duty are authorized to uphold these expectations. Guests must follow their directions.
Where the policy applies
This policy applies throughout all Four Saints-controlled guest areas, indoors and outdoors, including the taproom, restrooms, entrances, exits, and any patio, sidewalk seating, or event space on our premises.
Specific events may have stricter age requirements, which we will communicate in advance when practical.
Thank you for helping keep Four Saints safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone.
