Onsite Food Truck Sales Guarantee
Four Saints Brewing Company offers a $400 sales guarantee to help protect scheduled food vendors from unexpectedly low customer traffic.
The guarantee assumes the vendor arrives prepared, begins service on time, and provides normal service throughout the scheduled service window.
To qualify for the full $400 guarantee, vendors must:
- Be open, operational, and ready to accept orders at the scheduled start time. Onsite arrival does not start service if setup is still in progress.
- Remain onsite, open, and actively serving through the scheduled end time.
- Arrive reasonably stocked and prepared to offer a menu consistent with the planned or advertised menu.
- Notify Four Saints before arrival of any known significant menu limitations, unavailable featured items, or other issues that could substantially affect service.
- Maintain sufficient staffing, inventory, supplies, and operational equipment to provide normal service.
- Promptly notify the manager on duty of any issue that significantly interrupts or limits service.
- If sales are tracking below the guarantee, notify the manager on duty at least 60 minutes before the scheduled end of service.
- Provide an itemized POS-generated or otherwise verifiable sales report (including gross sales, taxes, and fees) for the scheduled service period when requesting a guarantee payment.
Late Starts or Interrupted Service
The full guarantee applies when service begins on time and continues throughout the scheduled service window.
If service begins late or is significantly interrupted, the guarantee may be prorated based on the portion of the scheduled service window during which the vendor was open, operational, and serving customers.
For example, a truck scheduled from 2:00–6:00 PM that begins service at 2:30 PM has completed 87.5% of its scheduled service window. The applicable guarantee would therefore be $350.
Relevant service time is when customers can place orders and receive normal service, not simply when the truck is onsite.
When the Guarantee May Not Apply
The guarantee is intended to protect vendors from insufficient customer demand, rather than sales lost because normal service could not be provided.
The guarantee may be reduced, prorated, or unavailable when sales are materially affected by:
- Late service starts or early closures
- Significant uncommunicated menu limitations
- Insufficient food, inventory, staffing, or supplies
- Equipment failure or other operational problems that interrupt service
- Extended periods when customers are unable to place or receive orders
Selling out of individual items because of strong customer demand during service will not, by itself, affect eligibility.
When the applicable requirements are met and documented sales remain below the applicable guaranteed amount, Four Saints Brewing Company will pay the difference between the total collected (including gross sales, taxes, and POS fees) and the guarantee.
